The smell of coffee filled the small café that Melissa had wandered into. With a deep breath in, she closed her eyes, relishing in the scent. Oh how much she loved coffee, especially the different flavors. As she waited in the small line, eyes roaming over the menu, a wrinkle to her nose at the sight of chocolate coffee and anything chocolate in general. So when the girls in front of her ordered nothing but the flavor, she simply frowned, but it was replaced when she went to order a caramel espresso. The simple taste of it and it's energy booting qualities cheered her up immediately. Once it was ordered, and she had paid for it, the small female then went to sit in a two seater table next to the window so the sunlight would shine on a book she was about to read.

A small waiter came up and set her espresso cup down, and with a small thanks she picked it up, and took a small sip. Enjoying the burst of caramel in her mouth with closed eyes and a smile on her face. Finally, she could relax in peace, but her thoughts were far from the peace she craved. Even if for a little bit, the medic still had things running through her mind. In particular, it kept running back to the Sergeant... 'wait... no. no. no.' she thought shaking her head slightly with a blush entering her cheeks. Sighing again, she set her cup down, and looked outside the window. Enjoying the scenery and humans walking about peacefully...

Loch had gotten time off work, and he decided to go to the Centre Mall. He had only been there a few times, but today he just felt motivated to go. He had been walking around for a while, boredom growing, as well as thirst. He let his feet subconsciously lead him to the nearest shop, the Rotisserie Café, glancing around. The mall truly was a beautiful place with beautiful women, but one stayed on his mind. His first member to accept was a stunning ma'am, complete with a charming accent. This medic was the one person who was on his mind. She had his thoughts wrapped around her, and he couldn't stop it. He had actually never thought such a way about a female, which surprised him. He never really even had an interest for a while in his life. He was very solitary after what happened to his brother, but joining the army--here, in Lunari Addunt--helped him over that.

He blinked, bringing his mind back to the present and found himself standing at the entrance. He reached out, opening the doors and slipping in silently. He ordered a caramel espresso, closing his eyes slightly to take in the amazing smell. He turned, his eyes suddenly catching sight of wavy, black locks. He moved swiftly, standing above her in a few moments and glanced at the book she was engrossed in, not even noticing him. He gave a soft smile, leaning down slightly to whisper in her ear. "Mind if I sit here, ma'am?" His heart raced suddenly, his emerald eyes meeting her chocolate brown. She was alluring, and he suddenly wanted her. The feeling he had overwhelmed him, and he stood very still, hoping he wouldn't do something like kiss her. He still felt the uneasiness, never being used to experiencing what he was at the moment.

Gasping, Melissa turned to the very man her thoughts kept drifting too, and even felt a slight shiver go down her spine as she realized how close he was. He seemed to be around a lot more than she was used to lately, and although it had been a while since she had seen him, the small woman still felt a bit of deja-vu. Replacing her shocked face and wide eyes with a warm smile and a slight blush, "No, feel free". Motioning to the seat next to her, and shutting her book, she watched as he sat. A smile on her face... as the small female had no idea what to do next. Heart raced a bit from the eternal shock of having him appear out of no where, and then having him sit with her was even more unnerving.

Deciding that her feelings weren't worth it in a horrid situation such as what they were in as she was in fact a colleague, and nothing more. Her brown eyes trailed to his cup, and she wrinkled her nose, "Let me guess... chocolate?" she said pointing to the cup to emphasize that, that was her subject of choice. A playful smile on her lips as she asked this, but still... no matter the reason, she understood that chocolate was the essential heart of everyone's cravings. Yet, didn't understand why it was such a craving to be had, as she wasn't much for the flavor as it was anyways.

Sighing, the female looked down and shook her head, "I'm sorry, I'm not very good with conversations" chuckling, she leaned an elbow against the table and put a hand under her chin. Brown eyes finding green once more, "So... what brings you out here, Sergeant Loch?" she asked smiling with warmth instead of playfulness.

He slid into the seat, flashing a smile in her direction as he set down the drink. Her eyes were staring into his, making his desire for her greater. She was so dazzling, magnificent, so delicate, that he wanted to grab her and pull her close. The strength of this emotion was so great, so unknown, that he couldn't control it. He watched as she closed her book an he shook his head "No, you don't have to stop reading because I interrupted you," he murmured, his voice seductive without trying to be. He sat back slightly, resisting the urge to kiss her which was growing by the moment. A tilt of the head was given as she asked him if it was chocolate and he chuckled. "Actually, this is a caramel espresso. Would you like some?" He pushed his drink slightly closer to her, smiling softly. She was beautiful, no doubt about it, and he wanted her. "I'm off of work, for a while," he answered her question as he stood up, offering her a hand so she could come with him. He needed her somewhere else, just not in such public place like this. He didn't plan on doing anything, well, unless she wanted him to. But he didn't mean anything intense, maybe just a kiss.. "Care to join me, ma'am?"

With her mouth slightly agape, she simply stared at the cup he offered her, and lifted her cup, "No, thank you, I have my own Caramel Espresso" she said rolling her tongue with the Caramel and Espresso. Her thoughts were muddled, whereas before they were so crisp, and precise with everything. This man seemed to be silently melting her, and when he stood, she couldn't help but appreciate the muscles he seemed to have. A slight intake of breath, at the offered hand, and she grabbed her small bag. Wrapping it over her shoulder, a warm smile was given to Loch as she put a delicate hand in his, standing as she did so, but nevertheless keeping her eyes locked with his. "Not at all" the small woman said warmly, and waited for him to release her hand before she did. If she was at all a normal female, she would have taken her hand away bashfully and look down. All the sociological studies showed that when around men, women always seemed to show submission, but she was different, and kept her challenge high.

Her eyes strayed to something on his stubbled jaw, and she couldn't help but use the very hand that was in his to get closer and on tip toes put a hand to his jaw. The other on his chest, to support her small stance, and a thumb lightly traced over the scar. Eyes mesmerized by it, but she soon found her circumstances a bit more intimate, and looked back into his eyes, dropping her hands, and lowering her height, "I'm sorry..." this time, she did lower her eyes, and took a small step back, "that was uncalled for... and completely avoiding the personal boundaries". Melissa's face burned, and her heart thumped in her chest, as she kept a hand to her beating heart in hopes to slow it, but in no possible way would it be doing so anytime soon.

As she accepted his hand, he gripped hers gently, feeling the smooth skin beneath his. He stared into her eyes, and let their hands linger together. Suddenly, she was on her tip toes, feeling his scar. He was slightly surprised at the outgoingness, but he didn't mind. Though, his face showed slight surprise. Loch knew he should tell her his story. The past couldn't hurt him anymore. His brother was gone, he was never coming back, so telling what happened wouldn't affect anything. He didn't know her story, but he didn't care. She could tell him if he wanted. He blinked as she stepped back, apologizing. Suddenly, he didn't care that they were in public anymore. He gently put one hand on her waist, and the other behind her head. He leaned in, the paused for a moment, his lips lingering less than a centimeter from hers. He let out a little whisper, taking all his restraint to not close the distance, "Melissa.. I'm going to kiss you now, is that okay?" He closed his eyes, waiting for her answer. He wanted her.

The small woman held her breath, surprise and unable-ness to move, she stared into his eyes. A hand had gone to his chest when he pulled her close, and she felt her mouth go dry as she breathed in three short silent breaths. Feeling her breath mingle with his, she merely nodded short and made a small 'nhnn' before she was pulled in. Her heart sped and the feel of his lips on hers tingled. Mind going completely blank allowing the small female to take in everything. The whole thing seemed to go on, and yet she barely registered her own hand fist his shirt, while the other went to slowly climb up to the back of his neck to deepen the simple kiss more. A small moan and it was gone, her cheeks flamed and she let her grip go, but she didn't move. Breathing heightened a bit from the eternal shock of it all, but in a whisper similar to his, all she could do was smile, "wow..." and look into his green eyes. Thoughts roaming again in short, but the urge to reconnect his lips with hers was very strong, so instead, she whispered shy and looked at him under her thick lashes, "Permission to kiss you again, Seargeant Loch?" she asked playfully, biting the corner of her lip as it was a bad habit of hers.
