"Uh huh, yes thank you." ,that was Vixin speaking on the phone with the director of the hospital she worked at. She had saved up enough vacation time for two weeks on her island Astridax out in the middle of the ocean with just herself. As her son was now grown and out on his own and her husband busy with making new wives. So she decided a little bit of time to herself wouldn't be a bad idea. "Two weeks and I'll be back. No harm done." ,or so she hoped. Packing her things he made sure to gather all she would need. Shampoo and conditnor. Bras and underwear. Extra changes of cloths. Most important, her bathing suit. She even managed to bring her computer and such other things we needed. Basically dancing around the room she gathered what all she wanted to take and head downstairs. Grabbing a pen and a piece of paper, directing it to her husband

Dear Husband,
I am heading to Astridax for the next two weeks. Of course I have my phone, but as we both know I will have no service. Should you need me I will be on the island. I will be taking the plane so you will still have the boat to reach me. Please let our son know this as well.
Vix

She laid the pen down on top of the paper and picked up her bags. Grabbing her keys from the key hooks on her way out. Locking the door behind her and walking to her car, she hit the button to pop the trunk. Placing the bags into the back of the car, she closed the trunk and walked to the driver side. Slipping into the seat and she closed the door and started the engine. Putting the car in reverse she started for the airport. Finally out of the driveway she headed for the highway. Taking exits and battling night time traffic. Which there barely was any, so zipping around stray cars and zooming down the highway was easy and fun for her. She smiled, showing her fangs to the world as they shown brightly like the shiniest of pearls. Her eyes shown with happiness of the freedom. Vixin laughed aloud and took her next exit.

After a while of driving she finally got to the airport. Finding a close parking spot she stole it with ease. Killing the car she got out, popping the trunk again to retrieve her bags from it. Closing it she hit the button to lock the car up. Entering the airport it was still lively, people moving about waiting for their midnight flights or flights that had been delayed. She knew her plane was ready and all geared up to hit the skies. Making her way to the lane A-30 he moved with grace. Men watched her walk, woman envied her body. She smirked and added a little more twist to her hips. Reaching her plane she smiled to the pilot and boarded it, sitting in her favorite seat by the window she ordered a drink. These flight attendants were the only humans that knew whom flew on this plane. Even though the were of other races, they knew what she wanted. A tall order of O negative. Waiting on her drink to come back Vixin glanced out of the window she sat by. Clouds and nighttime sky. "Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful." ,a small smile crossed her lips. Looking back as her drink had arrived, thanking the woman that handed it to her and looking back out the window. Sipping out of the glass as if it would be her last one. It wasn't much longer that they plane had landed on the strip that was made for it. Coming to a halt she stood and grabbed her luggage from above her. Heading off the plane she thanked the flight attendant and went about her way.

Stepping onto the sand she kicked off her flats and stood on it barefooted. Picking up her shoes Vixin headed towards the mansion. Walking along the seashore, the water hitting her ankles and feet. She lifted her head up to the moonlit skies, letting the moonlight shine off her face. Taking a deep breath and then letting it out again, Vixin had finally reached the front steps of the mansion. Placing her bags down on the ground she took the keys from her pocket out to unlock the house. Opening the door she stepped in and closed the door behind her, taking her bags with her. Going upstairs to place her bag on the bed and grab her bathing suit. Stripping out of her normal clothes she put on the swimming suit and grabbed a towel. Vixin went back downstairs and headed out of the door. Placing the towel on the back of a chair, she looked at the water and started for it. Taking the plunge and diving into the dark waters as they rolled and crashed into the seashore. Coming up, she threw her hair back and wiped her face of the salty waters. Looking to the moon as the memory of her and her husband came back to her. The air was still. Her heart was racing.

"It's time Jekaterina. We've been talking about it for a long time now, and I think you're ready for the next step. It's time for your vacation. It will give you a chance to relax and try communicating with others once again. This vacation will be good for you." Jekaterina chewed her lower lip as her right index finger scrolled down the webpage. Before her was a list of various vacation homes that her therapist had given her, saying they would cover the trip completely. No charge. That's the only way it would have been possible, since she didn't have any money. It'd all been gone for a long time. It was only thanks to her Dominas that she had a place to stay with food and shelter, as well as the coverage to pay for her therapy.

Jekaterina continued to scroll until a pop-up appeared, advertising a beautiful island with one of the largest get away homes in the market. There were various rooms throughout the complex ensuring vacancy, ensured by the bold letters that stated so in the ad. The island also unknowingly advertised numerous opportunities for isolation, which was the true image of the dream vacation. For the first time since the order Jekaterina looked forward to the upcoming trip. She packed her bag in a little over the hour, notified the agency of her plans, and was on her way to the airport with a ticket in less than five hours.

Now Jekaterina stood in her own personal doorway which lead from her bedroom to the beach. She'd changed from her everyday outfit of sweatpants and an over sized hoody to a pair of running shorts and a fitted running jacket. Her long blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail and her face was void of any make-up. She'd lost a lot of weight over the years as an effect of her suffering from paranoia and anxiety, which lead to other disorders including an eating disorder. The disorder hadn't so much affected her strength as it would a human, but it had caused her skin to turn a sickly grey color and an unhealthy amount of weight-loss. Even though she had been in the incline for quite some time, her body had not had enough time to fully heal.

The moonlight shown upon her hair and Jekaterina allowed herself to relax enough to close her eyes and embraced the subtle light. The only kind that didn't hurt. But dangerous things happen in the dark. Dark blue eyes blasted open, darting about the shadows. Her breathing had become eradic and she shrunk back into the safety of her home away from home. With a thick swallow Jekaterina forced herself to take a step forward out into the sand, followed by another, and again, one more, until she was enveloped in a full on sprint. The air lurched down to her lungs as her feet pounded into the sand. Eventually she slowed to a more casual pace, one where she could still run hard but think clearly. The familiar motions sent feelings of safety throughout her limbs, and slowly a faint smile took form on her lips.

The sudden eruption of sprayed water caused the Knight's steps to falter and freeze in place in a defensive stance, ready to bolt again. The figure faced the other way, but even then Jekaterina recognized her. How could she not? The woman was due thanks for supplying her with food and a roof over her head for the past 25 years. "Vixin?" Jekaterina called out to her Domina with a smile, taking a few steps towards the water.

The water felt cool and fresh against the Domina's skin, she could feel everything. The sand between her toes The tiny pieces of dirt that rolled with the passing waves as they crashed against the shore. Coming up out from under the water, she flung her hair back and out of her face. Wiping the water and sand from her skin. Opening her eyes she lifted them to the moon. It was bright on this night. Vixin didn't think she had ever saw it so close to the island before, or earth for that matter. Just as she had decided to turn around she heard a voice, a familiar voice. Turning to face the woman she heard calling her name she saw that it was one of her most trusted Knights, Jekaterina, Vixin smiled brightly,"Jekaterina? Darling, is that you? I didn't know anyone else was here this week. How long have you been here?" Walking out of the water she kept her smile, filled with glee that another she trusted was here and not someone she hadn't known. "It is good to see you dear, how are you? When did you get here? Not that I am not excited to see you, I am just wondering. Please, join me in a drink.",Vixin motioned towards the house still smiling pleasantly as she moved to the house. Stopping to grabbing her towel as she quickly dried off before entering the house.

Opening the door to the islands mansion, Vix went into the house. Holding the door for Jekaterina to enter. Upon her entering Vix closed the door. "Would you like a drink?",she moved to the kitchen and grabbed a glass for herself and her trusted knight. "So tell me, how is life being treating you? I know you live beneath my roof, but we don't always get to speak with each other. Plus as long as the members of my clan are happy, so am I. If not, then I wish to know what has upset them and help. But of course you knew that huh?",chuckling Vixin poured them both drinks of red substances, O Neg happened to be Vixins favorite type of blood. Even more so after she had her son, Vincent. How she missed him being so small, now that he was all grown up and taller than her. She smiled at the memories. Turning her attention back to Jekaterina as she waited her response with a grin.

The ghastly pale woman hesitated as the woman began to turn. Had Jekaterina bothered her? She bit her lip, regretting the movement and moving back a step when she was greeted with a welcoming smile. Bringing her arms up to cross over her chest in her casual manner Jekaterina shared the smile. “Not long. A couple hours or so.” She said little, kept it short. Her small answers didn’t seem to faze Vixin as she came from the water.  ”I don’t mean to pull you from your swim.” Jekaterina apologized abruptly, fidgeting awkwardly a sudden. But Vixin kept on coming, motioning for her to follow as they headed toward the house. Jekaterina obeyed and followed her immediately. She mumbled her pleasantries as the two made their way through the sand. Jekaterina kept her head down, watching her toes sink into the loose earth and tuning into the crash of the waves. It was a relaxing tune, even with the occasional squawk of the seabirds overhead. Perhaps she’d like staying here, especially if there weren’t others besides Vixin and herself. She smirked silently to herself, thinking of how the therapist wanted this to be a trial for her to communicate with others. Hard to do without company, and Jekaterina was all right with that.

”This place is beautiful.” She spoke in awe, nodding in regards to the offer of a drink. She remained standing, leaning against the countertop as she waited patiently. She smiled a small one as Vixin gathered glasses from a cupboard and baggies from the fridge, ”That I do. You and Arkati both have been exceptionally good to me since I joined the clan and I can’t thank you enough for that. I’m sure you’ve seen the medical bills, so you know I’m going to the therapist? Have been for quite some time now…” Jekaterina sighed, scratching her head idly. ”Not all patched up but we are getting somewhere, at least I think. She did manage to get me out of the house, something I haven’t done in a long while.” As I’m sure you can tell, Jekaterina thought to herself as her eyes rested momentarily on her own skin. Vampires didn’t require sunlight to hydrate their skin, but the dark had tainted her skin giving it a gray tint. Jekaterina hoped to get rid of that. ”How about you? Any word from Vincent?” Jekaterina looked up and smiled kindly. Her communication skills were a bit rough yet, her smiles did not quite reach her ears or show in her eyes. She looked like a rather dull character, someone who had slept for way too many days and skipped a few to many meals. Suddenly self-conscious Jekaterina wrapped her arms around her too-small-torso.
