When the Day Met the Night [Anivea] Empty
PostSubject: When the Day Met the Night [Anivea]   When the Day Met the Night [Anivea] Icon_minitimeThu Jan 08, 2015 2:35 pm

Other than the littlest of a lamp's dim light, the small, square room was as dark as the demon's soul. Four men and one woman were surrounded around a velvet green table, coloured chips were scattered over it's surface, and cards were displayed accordingly before them all. They were dressed in all different styles, one being a biker-like man, the second was small, dressed in what it appeared to be rags, but his guess was at good as anyone's. The rest were practical, rich figures that had looked to of just gotten off yachts or something that which did not amuse him. The woman was along side another rich-man, a lawyer he presumed the man to be, and she was dressed in a ruby studded dress that showed just the right amount of skin to distract the crowd of men around her. But his gaze remained as cold as ice as he looked to her. She was paid to be there for the sake of a pet, from what he read into her thoughts, nothing more than something to keep the others envying and worried of what the man will play. Some were with wives, the biker had a family, but most were a couple thugs - as well as him. Leviticus was the only one to of dressed up in a nice suit, matched well so that his hair slicked back and he had a clean shave. A cigar rested at his lips, and he puffed as he pleased while holding the hand of cards between his index and thumb. With knowing how to read minds, it was so easy for him to play the best poker face, he barely had to try with how many years he's had time to perfect it. As was he with the game of cards - he had yet to be beaten. He smirked as the man to his right passed, giving him the chance to lay down his hand, that of which being a royal flush. "Sorry, boys.." Leviticus murmured, looking left and right to the disgruntled men, watching as one shot up and yelled at him with a mighty finger, "Cheater!". As this happened, he pulled the cash towards him and began quickly putting it away in his bag, throwing the cards out across the table. The rest started to surround him, the woman across from him watching with a hungry gaze as Leviticus stared back at her. Standing slowly, he glared at the men with daring eyes and a tilted grin that could only mean trouble. With vampire-given strength and speed, he flipped the table, distracting them all, and fled the scene. Out the back door he went, and into the night the knight ran.

Making it around the block, the vampire hid within the shadows cascading down from the neighboring building, standing at the alley as he watched the men defeatedly disperse. A mortal would be stupid to of try to run after him, then again, he thought most of them to be. The biker was the first to leave on his motorcycle, as was the raggedy man down the sidewalk, and some of the rich-men went to their limos or nice sport cars to leave after the others. The couple, however, was taken into the alley along side him. Leviticus watched the two, mostly the display, as the woman was not willingly wanting to follow, but be forced by the man's grip around her wrists. It was the same man whom called him a cheater earlier. "You damn whore.. you were supposed to make me win!" The man said, whispering angrily into her ear, but the vampire could hear it just as if he were speaking it in a normal tone. The woman yelped and cried for help, writhing uncontrollably from him as she tried to get free. Leviticus was the first to move and glared at the man, who lost his grip by the distraction, giving the woman time to run. When the man spotted him, he didn't care for the lady anymore, and instead lunged at the vampire, but the immortal was too quick for his puny efforts. When every thing was silent once more, the man carried the mortal's body deeper into the alleyways. He was now dead, and only used as a meal for Leviticus's thirst, nothing more. The rest of him would now sit to rot, but his blood would not go to waste, the vampire knew happily of. He made sure that he was not messy, meaning so that he could blend in with the rest of the city and not be questioned, either way, Leviticus made a break for it. He accompanied himself to a rectangular building which glowed a sapphire blue. As he stepped inside, he was welcomed by the dropping of weighted balls and clashing pins at the end of several, symmetrically lined lanes. That was when he knew he was in a bowling alley, not typically his selection of entertainment, but he smelt alcohol, and if there was that, he would at least stay a while. Sitting at the bar, he fixed his tie and jacket, smoothing back his hair comfortably atop his head like always. When settled, he looked around the area, watching as mortals bowled and had a splendid time - joying life as they did like usual, while the immortals seemed to stay away and just watch. Glancing to the end of the bar, he requested a drink, wondering how long it would take until they arrived, "Glass of Jack Daniels, please?" Leviticus asked with a handsome grin, turning the rest of his body in his stool.
